Room to Play is a welcoming and accessible space for families with children 0-4 years. We offer lots of great activities and a chance to meet The Toy Library’s Family Mentor Team to get parenting advice, support and information on local services. These sessions are free to families with children aged 0-4 who live in the Bulwell area. Room to Play can be found at 17-19 Commercial Road, Bulwell. NG6 8HD
Twigglets is an outdoor woodland session for 0-4 years which is held at Barkers Wood activity area NG6 8GG.

The Toy Library is proud to deliver a programme of Free Play sessions for 5-13 year olds. These sessions offer a huge range of natural, active and creative play activities, the team especially values young people’s ideas and suggestions to enhance these sessions. The sessions are free for children to attend and are open to all children from school year 1 in the age range, living in the area local to that session. (If your child is 5 years old or younger, but not yet in School Year 1 they may Still attend with a supervising adult. Forest Families sessions the child must be accompanied).

Our outdoor sessions take place in all weathers, so check the forecast and dress appropriately.
Current Timetable (Term Time Only) :
The play project is aimed at young people making that key transition from childhood to adolescence, 9 to 16 years old.
We provide a safe space for young people to come together, express themselves, experiment, learn and above all, have fun. The team are there to listen to young people’s concerns, uncertainties, aspirations and ambitions and support them in these areas. The project is shaped by the views and wishes of the young people. Sessions are primarily focused on outdoor adventurous, active and arty sessions in natural environments.
