DESCRIPTION:This online training will give you a basic understanding of the
  role and responsibilities of a Designated Safeguarding Lead Person for an
  organisation working with vulnerable children and young people.\n\nCost: 
 £25 per participant\n\nWho is this training for?\nIf you’re new to the 
 role of Designated Safeguarding Lead Person for an organisation that works
  with children and young people\, this training you.  NB: It is advised t
 hat safeguarding training is updated every 3 years.\n\nBefore registering 
 for this training\, please ensure that you’ve attended our Introduction 
 to Safeguarding Children and Young People training (or equivalent introduc
 tory/refresher training) within the last three years.\n\nThe role of Desig
 nated Safeguarding Lead is particularly relevant when working with childre
 n and young people\, given that the safeguarding children referral process
  is a multi-agency approach. Therefore\, this session focuses on working w
 ith children and young people.  If your organisation works with adults on
 ly\, this training may still be relevant to you\, as working with adults i
 nvolves the consideration of children who may be at risk. However\, the re
 ferral processes are led by the Adult Safeguarding Team.\n\nWhat will I le
 arn from this training?\n- Referral processes and the Child Protection Pat
 hway\n- Signs of safety and Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPCs)\n
 - How and when to share information with other organisations\n- How to dea
 l with allegations involving staff\n- Key policies and guidance\n- You’l
 l be issued a certificate of attendance following the completion of this t
